1. Our Community Principles
Campus Ghost is built on five core principles that guide every interaction on our platform:
- Honest conversations: Authentic insights into academics, campus life, hostels, and placements.
- Respect for everyone: Treating fellow students, faculty, and campus communities with decency.
- Privacy by design: Protecting your identity through pseudonymous Ghost Personas.
- Responsible freedom of expression: Expressing opinions constructively without harming others.
- Safe campus communities: Keeping environments free from harassment, hate speech, and spam.
2. Anonymous Doesn't Mean Unaccountable
Campus Ghost protects your public identity through an assigned or chosen Ghost ID.
Important Notice on Accountability
- Your Ghost ID does not give permission to abuse, harass, or threaten others.
- Users remain legally responsible for all content they publish.
- Illegal, abusive, or harmful content may result in account termination, device bans, or reporting to law enforcement.
- Campus Ghost preserves relevant logs when required to investigate severe abuse, protect safety, or comply with lawful requests.
3. College-Specific Communities
Every post on Campus Ghost is tagged to a specific college or university hub.
- Ensure your posts are assigned to the correct institution.
- Reviews must reflect genuine first-hand campus experiences.
- Questions and discussions should be relevant to the selected college community.
4. Follow College Communities Responsibly
Users may follow single or multiple colleges to receive campus updates, discover reviews, and join discussions.
Do not misuse community following to coordinate mass harassment, spread targeted rumors, or conduct spam campaigns across college feeds.

6. Content That Is Not Allowed
The following categories of content are strictly prohibited on Campus Ghost:
Harassment & Bullying
Threatening, intimidating, targeting individuals repeatedly, encouraging harassment, or coordinating group bullying.
Hate Speech
Attacks based on protected characteristics including religion, race, ethnicity, caste, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality.
Privacy Violations (Doxing)
Publishing another person's phone number, email, home address, student ID, passwords, banking info, or private photos without consent.
Violence & Illegal Activities
Promoting violence, criminal acts, illegal substances, weapons, or providing instructions for committing crimes.
Explicit Sexual Content
Nudity, sexually explicit material, non-consensual intimate content, or pornography.
Impersonation & False Information
Pretending to be another student, professor, admin, official, or spreading fabricated malicious allegations presented as facts.
Spam & Manipulative Botting
Automated posting, referral spam, artificial vote inflation, repetitive links, or promotional advertising.
7. Reviews & Opinions
Reviews reflect personal student experiences. Reviews must avoid personal insults, defamatory claims, or fabricated stories.
Opinions expressed belong solely to the posting users and do not represent the views of Campus Ghost.
8. Anonymous Confessions
Confessions are intended for personal expression, emotional relief, and seeking advice. Confessions must never be used for revenge posts, blackmail, naming private individuals, or alleging crimes against specific people.
9. Media Uploads
Images and media attachments must adhere to copyright laws and content guidelines. Do not upload graphic violence, copyrighted material without rights, or malware.
10. Reporting Content
If you see content violating these rules, flag it immediately using the in-app Report button. Reports must be submitted in good faith. Submitting false or abusive reports is itself a violation.
11. Moderation & Enforcement
Campus Ghost reserves the right to issue warnings, restrict post visibility, remove violating content, suspend accounts, or issue permanent IP/device bans. Admin audit logs record all moderation actions for fairness and accountability.
12. College Suggestions
When users submit suggestions for new college hubs, entries are reviewed by administrators. Submissions with misleading information or duplicate listings will be rejected.
13. Community Safety & Automated Systems
Safety is maintained through human moderation, automated keyword detection, spam filters, and community flagging systems.
14. Platform Integrity
Reverse engineering, exploiting platform vulnerabilities, circumventing bans, or attempting to breach security measures is strictly prohibited.
15. Compliance With Law
Users must follow local, state, and national laws while using Campus Ghost. We cooperate with lawful legal orders and law enforcement requests when legally required.

Campus Ghost provides a platform for user-generated content. Views, ratings, and opinions belong entirely to the user and do not constitute endorsement by Campus Ghost.
17. Changes to Guidelines
These Community Guidelines may be updated periodically. Continued use of Campus Ghost following updates signifies acceptance of the revised rules.
